Cicada

Yesterday we watched a Cicada shed its old skin, it was pretty neat to watch. These pictures were taken just as it emerged from its old shell, it sat there for about 45 minutes during which time it changed from green to a mottled brown color.

Fort Hood Texas

Well here we are at Ft. Hood and I have to wear the stupid hat again. Geoff returned from Iraq in early February and we finally went to visit him and his wife Kathy. The weather was kinda cold and blustery for Texas, but it was good to see Geoff again after a year.We had a tour of Ft. Hood and as you will see, they had a bunch of great displays.

Atention.

Attention! Attention! The A.F.B.B. will not be available for a few weeks, the eggs will be delayed. It seems Uncle Mike hadn't quite finished building the chicken coop for the chickens he is hatching from the Easter eggs he gets next week. When it is completed and the chickens are at laying age (can you say that in a BLOG ?) the A.F.B.B. will commence
